Boneyard Coffee

LOCATION -> Santa Cruz, California

DATE -> October 2024

ROLE -> Brand Designer + Illustrator

What started as a side project turned into a fully branded, small-batch coffee pop-up. My now-husband, began roasting coffee in the back kitchen of our local cafe. Together, we launched Boneyard as a limited October release, selling custom-roasted beans through their storefront.

The brand identity draws from his worlds: heavy metal aesthetics meets Dungeons & Dragons lore. Each roast was centered around a fictional Lich King in search of the perfect brew, each with its own backstory (which appears on the back label) and visual theme. I illustrated and designed each label, and assembled packaging for both in-person and online sales. Boneyard was a mix of design, storytelling, and the joy of building something weird and well-crafted with someone I love.
