ROLE -> Muralist

In partnership with Beautiful Day, I designed and painted a 9x20ft mural for the San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School. Positioned on the front gate of their campus, the mural needed to feel welcoming, empowering, and representative of the students and staff who make up the community. I met with their team to understand their mission, values, and space before developing the concept.

The final piece features bold, symbolic imagery and vibrant color: chosen to reflect diversity, transformation, and hope. Painted on corrugated metal, the project came with technical challenges that required strategic visual planning to maintain legibility across ridged surfaces. It was one of the most physically demanding projects I’ve taken on, and also one of the most rewarding.
