A speaker stands on stage in front of a large screen displaying the text 'The Gospel of Matthew, Season 2: The Upside of Down', with a graphic of a face with geometric features wearing a moon-shaped hat, surrounded by clouds and stars. The audience is seated facing the stage.

This collection showcases artwork and design systems developed for multi-week teaching series, typically spanning three to six weeks. Each series included a central visual identity used across platforms, including screens, social media, print, and email.

I also created weekly slide decks in collaboration with the teaching team, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout each series. When needed, I produced supplementary assets such as printed guides and dedicated resource pages on the website. These projects required a balance of creative direction, strategic rollout, and ongoing collaboration across departments.

Image featuring four informational panels with a dark blue background and gold accents. The first panel lists four ways to receive the Christian community, such as staying curious and forgiving. The second panel quotes Ephesians 2:12-14 about Christ removing hostility. The third panel discusses experiencing loneliness among different age groups, with statistics. The fourth panel repeats the biblical message about Christ making peace and removing hostility, accompanied by an illustration of a stylized tree with roots.

Custom Illustration

LIFE TOGETHER TEACHING SERIES 2025

  • For this teaching series on community and belonging, I created an original illustration inspired by traditional woodcut techniques. The detailed framing, natural elements, and banner treatment were designed to evoke a sense of rootedness, warmth, and connection. This set the tone for both the content and its broader visual rollout across platforms.

Long-Form Versatility

MATTHEW TEACHING SERIES 2022-2023

  • This teaching series spanned over a year, requiring a visual system that could evolve across seasons while remaining cohesive. From the outset, I focused on creating a style that offered both flexibility and strong structure. This allowed each segment to feel fresh but still clearly part of the whole.

I developed a custom illustration approach using simplified line work, high contrast, bold color, and halftone textures to convey movement, depth, and continuity throughout the series.

A dark, vintage slide projector with a rectangular shape and a lens at the front, placed on a flat surface.
Text overlay on a holographic, iridescent cube: "How to Live a Spiritual Life." Smaller text reads "A Study in Romans 8" against a dark background.
A clear rectangular prism of glass or crystal, reflecting and refracting light with rainbow colors, set against a dark background.

Motion Graphics

  • To increase engagement across digital channels, I created motion-based adaptations of series artwork for use on socials.

These graphics brought visual energy to each teaching series. Each animation was tailored to the tone of the content, extending the reach and impact of the original designs.
